These photos were from around 1950 by Chuck Zeiler–found on the State Archives website. The Class K-4 709 between Buckingham and New Raymer. By 1972 the end-of-the-line was Hereford. The last big utilization the line saw was the hauling of materials for the U.S. Air Force missile silos. These trains were unloaded at New Raymer. The line lasted out to New Raymer until 1980. The rails were removed in 1981 all the way back to Tenth Avenue in Sterling.
