The Ladies Booster Club of Raymer and Vicinity.
Formed in 1915.
The Ladies Booster Club of Raymer and vicinity was formed in 1915. These women carried out projects to establish the park, the community building, a cemetery, and even a tennis court! They signed a resolution in 1920 to change the name of the Post Office to conform to the name of the railway station—changing the Post Office from New Raymer to Raymer. The resolution was sent in but was unsuccessful. To these ladies, it was an annoyance and inconvenience. How amazing we have formed the Friends of Raymer 100 years later. That bank in which they first met in 1915 still stands! The Raymer State Bank is eligible for designation on the State Historic Register!
