Truxaw & Kruger Grocery / Seldin’s Cash Grocery Added to Colorado State Historic Register

We are excited to announce that we have been able to add the Truxaw & Kruger Grocery/Seldin’s Cash Grocery building to the State Historic Register!

Friends of Raymer worked hard to get paperwork submitted to the Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (OAHP) before the deadline this year to get several of our historic buildings approved to be submitted to the State and National Historic Registers. The application for this approval is lengthy and detailed. We relied on the memories and photos from our friends and family of New Raymer to put this information together. Thank you to everyone for your help!

Even though the historic district was not approved, 4 buildings are eligible for nomination to the State and National Historic Registers. We will have to submit individual applications for each of these buildings as it makes sense to do so.

We did receive approval for eligibility for 4 buildings!
