2018 Friends of Raymer Car Show, Art Show, and Swap Meet

Friends of Raymer will be hosting our second annual car show on Saturday, September 8th, 2018. Registration will begin soon! The event will include music, an art show and silent auction, games for the kids, swap meet and vendor booths, food, and more!

We are really excited to bring this fun event to New Raymer again this year!

319 Centre Avenue Cleanup Day

Friends of Raymer is planning a cleanup day for Saturday, June 24th. It will be at the Hanson Building–319 Centre Avenue. Some of the odds and ends in the building are old doors and windows, stoves, boards, an entertainment center, bathroom fixtures, asphalt shingles still in packages, stair railing–all for the taking. Come see what you can take off our hands–please. We would love some extra hands removing things from the building. Join us to lend a hand that day and share in a little community time. We will be there from 10am into the afternoon that day.

Volunteers will be meeting at the firehouse in New Raymer on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. You are welcome to join us (just in case you missed the sign-up sheet at the Lions Club dinner). This will be an organizational meeting and planning session. If you are the proud owner of property that may be included in a historic district in our town, you will want to participate. If you are from out of town (like me) you will want to be included in this historic project. If your family has been around for a long, long time, keep that heritage going! Maybe you can contribute the talent that no one else has, or want to improve the economy in the town. Come join us–we are just getting started!

Just a reminder to join us for a night of CELEBRATION—-the newly-renovated community building kitchen, the Endangered Places designation for Centre Avenue in New Raymer, and the youth participating in the Lions Club Youth Speech Contest. FREE spaghetti dinner served from 6-7 pm; short announcement and information about the Colorado Endangered Places designation; and the Lions Club Youth Speech contest at 7:30! Everyone invited!
